Car Scrap-Age

I’m very disappointed with the government
And their much heralded car scrap-age scheme
I took my “old banger” along with me to the garage
But my wife wasn’t what they had in mind it seems

Trading Up?

One of the most distasteful things to my mind is men who introduce their spouse as the current Mrs X, thinking the comment hilariously funny. The fact that they'll almost certainly be survived, divorced or murdered by their long suffering wife put the boot firmly on the other foot. Be warned, Car Scrap-Age is that sort of poem!
